About this UK crime map
Can I see exact crime addresses?
No. The official police feed uses approximate, anonymised map points. Treat the map as an area guide, not a record of exact addresses.
How current is the data?
The public dataset is usually updated monthly and can lag recent events by a few months. The page shows the latest available feed where the API exposes it.
Does this need a backend?
The phase-one public website runs the crime map directly in the browser using public APIs. Optional app features can be enabled later when the backend is live.
Can I compare places?
Yes. Use postcode search and comparison tools to review nearby areas before visiting, renting, buying, or relocating.
